The Dog Depot is a professional day-care service for your beloved dog.  It is a safe place for your dog to socialise, play, learn and generally have a cool time while you are away during the day.  

 

My name is Annette, and as a dedicated dog owner and a long term resident of Waiheke Island I have seen many changes on the island including the number of dogs that are now happy residents. Just a morning walk along Onetangi beach is like coffee group for the dogs!. 
 

I have owned two dogs, Tahi who was a beautiful labrador x rotweiller cross, born on Waiheke Island and was my constant companion for 10 years.  I now have a lovely bright young dog Cricket, who came to me after being rescued from a terrible beginning in Huntly.  She is a delightful Labrador/staffie cross who just wants to follow me around and be part of the gang.  I have worked in the city for my entire time of owning dogs, and have been privileged to use some fabulous dog day-care facilities in the city.  These experiences have shaped my own beliefs in how a dog day-care should be run.  I have seen such a change in my young dog after her day at day-care that I realise how important this safe socialisation is.  And there’s no denying that having your beloved pooch in doggy daycare means you don’t have to feel any of that ghastly ‘dog guilt’. 

 

I am a person who operates with integrity and honesty, wanting to provide opportunities for people on the island who may want to work with dogs in the future.  To this end I offer work experience and part-time work for young people on Waiheke.  I am also committed to an environmentally responsible business, using ethical products. The team who work at The Dog Depot, are selected for their commitment to quality services and fun interaction with your beloved dog. 

 

The Dog Depot works with anyone on Waiheke who is keen to be part of the team, either provide services to the members of The Dog Depot, or whether you want to hire out the space for dog training or agility.   

 

At The Dog Depot, we offer a day full of fun and enjoyment for your dog.  It will is a great safe place for your dog to socialise, and even learn new skills.
